Gen Con Block Party

For all of you who have been to Gen Con in the last few years we have enjoyed the beer garden and food trucks (parade? ) on Georgia st. Well they have moved the party to a more logistically suitable place on South Street. This is between the Indianapolis Convention Center and the Lucas Oil Stadium. There is a long hallway from the southeast of the convention center all the way to the block party. No crossing the street this year!

There is a lot of exciting themed food this year and I think I am going to need double bypass surgery just from writing this article. At least we will be going out happy.

Thursday – Saturday: 9 am – 10 pm

Sunday: 9 am – 4 pm

Hot Box Pizza

This years official pizza is the Queens Hambit. The pizza will feature BBQ pulled pork, ham, onion, pickle, mozzarella, and a mustard drizzle.If you love it then you must thank contest winner Preston T. of Big Rapids, MI for coming up with this madness.

Harry and Izzys

Harry and Izzy's are bringing their A game to Gen Con this year with the Frito Baggins Burger! This tasty angus steakburger patty is seasoned with their signature St. Elmo Seasoning and topped with American cheese, bacon jam, Chili Cheese Fritos, and served on a golden brioche bun.

Prime 47

Prime 47 is a swanky steakhouse located north of Indianapolis and they have come down to deliver some prime food to the attendees of Gen Con. Come grab a themed “Critical Hit Cheesesteak”. Also come check out the contests and giveaways they are doing throughout the convention.

Wizards of the Cone

Well now we have seen it all, here is the first Wizards of the Coast official food truck. They will be serving some sweet treats inspired by the infamous Chandra Nalaar, Vivien Reid, Tasha, and Drizzt Do’Urden.

Finally there will be some of Indy’s favorite eateries there all weekend long!
